A tragic house fire in Las Vegas occurred on Saturday night that left three individuals injured. Among the injured were a woman and two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers. The woman and police officers were immediately rushed to the hospital after the house fire in Las Vegas.
Minor injuries were sustained by the police officers. The North Las Vegas Fire Department was called to a house near Lake Mead and Martin L. King Boulevard. It has been reported that the Fire Department units were informed about a person being trapped inside the house. The Las Vegas Fire & Rescue fighters found a woman in an unconscious state.
The woman was rushed to University Medical Center for treatment. The firefighters further revealed that two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers attempted to rescue the woman where they sustained minor injuries. The woman sustained serious injuries and was in a critical condition as of Monday morning, the North Las Vegas Fire Department said.
The possible cause of the fire was identified to be fireworks. The fire was contained to one house according to the Fire Department. Five people were living in the home and were displaced. American Red Cross is assisting the displaced people.
